How do I check what a Pokemon card is worth?
Identify the exact print first — the set, the card number, and the variant, since a holo, a reverse holo and a promo of the same Pokemon are different cards with different prices. Then read recent market values for that exact print rather than an asking price on a single listing. Kardex does both from a photo: it matches the card, then shows the current market value.
Can I scan a Pokemon card to find its value?
Yes. Point the camera at the card and Kardex returns the closest matches with prices attached, so you do not have to type a name, set or number. Confirm the right match when a card has several printings, and the price shown updates with it.
What is the difference between raw and graded prices?
A raw price is what an ungraded card sells for. A graded price is for a card that has been sent to PSA, CGC or BGS, sealed in a slab, and given a numeric grade. Grading can multiply the value of a high-condition card and does very little for a played one, so the two figures are not interchangeable.
Does condition change how much a card sells for?
Substantially, and most of the difference sits in details that are easy to miss: centering, whitening along the edges, surface scratches under light, and corner wear. The same card in Near Mint and in Lightly Played can differ by several multiples on chase cards.
Which Pokemon sets can I browse?
Set pages cover modern chase sets such as Prismatic Evolutions, Evolving Skies and 151 alongside older ones like Base Set and Hidden Fates, each with the full card list and current market prices. The app itself recognises cards well beyond that list.
